New bonus pay structure

Your close rate is your pay rate.

Your base salary doesn't change. On top of it, your bonus per new booking is now set by one number: your own closing rate, tracked live in PH Hub and measured every pay period. Close under 40% and you still earn a guaranteed $3.00 per new booking. Push past 50% and every single new booking pays $6.00. Same leads, same shift — the difference is entirely how you show up on the call.

The numbers

Four tiers. One number decides.

Everybody starts at $3.00 per new booking. From there your tier is set by your own closing percentage for the pay period — tracked call by call in PH Hub, visible on the leaderboard. Nobody else's numbers hold you back, and nobody can carry you either.

Dental doesn't move.

Every new dental booking pays a flat $15, at every tier, all year. Ask for it on every single call — it's the easiest money on this page.

How it actually works

How your close rate turns into money

This isn't a formula somebody invented in an office. It's a loop — and you're standing right in the middle of it.

1

The lead hits your screen

Google, Meta, Local Services, WhatsApp — every call, form and message already cost the company money. Everyone on the floor gets the same kind of leads. The lead is not the variable.

2

You decide how that call goes

Your tone, your energy, your questions, your confidence. In the first ten seconds the client decides whether they're talking to a person who cares or a voice reading a price list.

3

Your percentage moves

Every call is logged in PH Hub. Bookings divided by leads worked — that's your close rate, live on the leaderboard, all pay period long.

4

Your rate for the whole period moves with it

Cross 40%, 45%, 50% and your bonus jumps to $4, $5, $6 on every single new booking in that period — not just the ones after you crossed. One band is worth a lot of money.

Read that again: work 100 new leads and book 39 of them, you earn $117. Book 51 of the same 100 leads and you earn $306. Twelve more yeses — roughly one extra booking a day — nearly triples your bonus. That's the whole game.
What moves your percentage

Four things decide whether they book.

Not the price. Not the schedule. Not the lead source. These four — and every one of them is 100% under your control on every single call.

01

Your tone of voice

The client can't see the van, the groomer or the results. All they have is your voice. Warm, clear, confident, smiling — that voice sells. Flat, rushed and tired tells them to keep shopping.

"Hi! This is Purrfect Grooming — I'd love to help you get Bella taken care of."
02

Your energy

Energy is contagious in both directions. Bring it up and the client leans in. Let it drop and they stall, say they'll think about it, and book with whoever sounded excited to have them.

Stand up. Smile before you pick up. Talk like this is the call you were waiting for.
03

Your connection

People book with people. Learn the pet's name and use it. Ask about the breed, the last groom, the anxiety at the vet. Two extra questions turn a price call into a relationship.

"How old is Max? Oh, a senior — then you'll love that we come to your door."
04

You, as the reason they book

The client is not only choosing a groomer, they're choosing the person they just talked to. When you're the reason they say yes, price stops being the conversation.

"I'll personally make sure the groomer knows exactly what Max needs."
The job

You're a salesperson. Not a phone responder.

A phone responder answers. A salesperson closes. Same leads, same shift, same script — but one of them ends the pay period at 38% and the other at 52%. That gap is worth double on every new booking.

The phone responder

  • Answers, quotes a price, hangs up.
  • Reads the script like a robot. No warmth, no personality, no energy.
  • "They didn't pick up" — and moves on to the next one.
  • Waits for the client to decide, and never follows up.
  • Never learns the pet's name, the breed, or the story.
  • Lets a bad call bleed into the next five calls.
  • Leaves a message unanswered because the shift is ending.
  • Ends the pay period under 40% and wonders why the check is small.

The salesperson

  • Connects first. Warm greeting, real voice, makes them feel welcome from second one.
  • Brings the energy. Smiles before answering, sounds happy to be there, and the client hears it instantly.
  • Asks questions. What's the dog's name? What breed? When was the last groom? Any anxiety at the vet?
  • Becomes a friend on the phone — genuine interest in the pet, not just the booking.
  • Handles the price by selling what's included: the van at their door, one-on-one attention, no cages, no waiting.
  • Asks for the appointment. Every time. Then offers a second date if the first doesn't work.
  • Follows up until there's a yes or a no. "Maybe" is not an answer.
  • Lives above 50% — and gets paid double per new booking for it.

The extra call

They didn't answer at 10am? Try again at 2pm, and again after 6pm. Most people just aren't near their phone the first time — and every one you reach lifts your percentage.

The extra callback

Every missed call gets called back — same day, no exceptions. A missed call we never return counts against your close rate and costs you money twice.

The extra message

No answer by phone? Text them. WhatsApp them. Send the price, send a photo, send a friendly note. Give them an easy way to say yes.

Be the deciding factor

They're not booking a service. They're booking you.

Every client who calls us also called somebody else. What tips them our way is the person who picked up. Your job is to be the reason they choose Purrfect Grooming — and this pay structure pays you directly for it.

How you become the deciding factor

  • Own the call from second one. Greet like you're glad they called. The client mirrors whatever energy you hand them.
  • Use the pet's name the whole way through. It stops being a transaction the moment you say "Bella" instead of "the dog."
  • Sell the experience, not the price. Mobile van at their door, one-on-one attention, no cages, no waiting room, no stress for the pet.
  • Take the decision off their shoulders. Don't ask "do you want to book?" — offer two times and let them pick one.
  • Ask. Every single call. The single biggest reason a call doesn't close is that nobody asked for the appointment.
  • Chase the maybe. "I'll think about it" is not a no. Call back, text, follow up until it's a yes or a real no.

Happy pays more

The person who sounds happy to be there closes more than the person who knows more. Attitude beats product knowledge on this phone, every time.

Hungry pays more

The hungry closer makes the extra call, sends the extra text, works the queue to zero. Hungry isn't pushy — it's caring enough to not let a client slip away.

Positive pays more

Bad call? Reset before the next one. The client on the other end of the line has nothing to do with the last one — give them your best version, not your leftovers.

The difference between a money maker and a phone answerer isn't talent, tenure or luck. It's the attitude they bring to the very next call — and now it's worth up to double per booking.

The team rule

Your tier is yours. The board is still ours.

Nobody can drag your percentage down and nobody can carry you — that's the point of the new structure. But an unworked lead sitting in a channel nobody checked is a booking none of us got. Cover the board together, then go win your own number.

What working as a team looks like

  • Help each other out. If you're free and someone's buried, take their overflow. Those leads become your bookings and your percentage.
  • Cover every channel, every shift. No queue goes unwatched because "that's not mine."
  • Check the open numbers. Every unanswered call and unread message gets picked up before end of day.
  • Confirm every client got a reply. Zero leads left hanging overnight.
  • Hand off cleanly. Leave notes so the next person can pick the conversation up without starting over.
  • Share what's working. The line that closed your last three calls should be on everyone's screen by tomorrow.
  • The manager controls the board. Every channel is reviewed as a team, every day.

Every channel gets checked. Every day.

A lead is a lead no matter where it lands — and every one of them is a chance to move your percentage. Every call, every channel and every close rate is tracked in PH Hub, so the leaderboard tells the whole story.

Same leads. Same shift. Double per new booking.

You start at $3.00 per new booking no matter what. Everything above that is decided by you — your tone, your energy, the connection you build, and whether you're the reason that client says yes. Work every lead like it's the one that moves your percentage, because it is. Get above 50% and $6.00 stops being a target and starts being a paycheck.
